Community…

So in my fortnightly newsletter I shared that today I had the most heart-warming moments I think I've had since setting my own classes up. Today when finishing classes I noticed that a few of my lovely ladies getting together for a tea/coffee and a wee bacon roll (or whatever their tipple was). I cannot begin to express how much this touched me. To my knowledge these ladies did not know each other before coming to class and here they were getting together afterwards - this is what the community is to me. I think I almost had a wee tear. Don't get me wrong I LOVE seeing everyone's faces each week for classes or treatments, but creating connection is everything to me.

Whether I am teaching my own classes, council classes, a workshop or a network group, creating connection is key for me. Having a place where people feel at ease with each other, and even developing friendships - there’s nothing better. Of course the reason for my work; whether that be movement or aiding folks treatment journeys is my purpose, but creating a community is up there. Creating the community (as previously said), creates a sense of ease and confidence which then allows all the other things to fall into place. When you attend a class and you know there is zero competition judgement, and just encouragement from your peers, you can let your guard drop and tune into your body and the movements. or treatment you are receiving.

I don't say it enough, as I really get too emotional saying out loud but I appreciate each and every one of you that choose to join me for a class, or embark on a treatment journey with me - thank you!

So if you’re on the fence about starting a new class just know that if you join Vesta there will be no focus on performance and only focus on ease!

Let me know in the comments what community looks like for you…
